Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi had an awkward moment this week. To put it in context, they were speaking to the press after a meeting involving the troop surge request in Afghanistan. The moment speaks volumes about what is happening behind closed doors.

Under the new health care bill in the Senate, proposed by Senator Max Baucus (D-Montana), if you don’t have health insurance as the law mandates, you must pay $1,900. As if that was not enough, if you don’t pay that fine, you face charges of up to $25,000 up to one year in jail. (Full Story Here)
What happened to the promise from President Obama that if we like our health care plan we can keep it? What if some of us like not having health care for some reason?
If this bill gets passed, the noose that government has around our lives will be tightened.

In the past week President Barack Obama lied to us twice and made some critical errors in upholding our national security.
Lie #1:
“I am proud to say that the United States has done more to promote clean energy and reduce carbon pollution in the last eight months than at any other time in our history,” President Obama told the U.N. this week. (Speech Here)
What has he done to reduce emissions in the last 8 months? Nothing, except maybe depress the economy to the point that Americans are more conscious about driving or to the point that American companies are less productive now ( using less resources). Nice try, Mr. President. [click to continue…]

Obama has been president for almost 6 months now, and already the broken promises are piling up. As a Senator, he was ranked as the most liberal member of Congress. Hillary Clinton even called him too liberal to be president. Realizing that Hillary was correct, he ran his campaign on conservative principles. He had to hide his true identity; and he did so by making promises that were not in line with his beliefs. (Ed Morrissey @ Hot Air) — I’m always astounded as to the extent of deception in which pro-choice Catholics indulge themselves, both inwardly and outwardly, to justify their positions. Perhaps there is no balder example of this than Nancy Pelosi attempting to spin the Catholic doctrine on human life today on Meet the Press
